Become a Skating Official

Want to be part of the action without playing?

Skating officials are an essential part of roller derby, helping to keep games safe, fair and running smoothly. If you enjoy skating and want to get closer to the action, becoming a referee could be the perfect way to get involved.

No previous officiating experience is needed – we can help you learn the skills you need to get started and become part of the roller derby community.

Become a Non-Skating Official

Be part of the action with no skating required!

You don’t have to skate to be part of roller derby! Non-skating officials (NSOs) are a vital part of every game, helping keep track of penalties, scores and other important game information. It’s a great way to get involved, learn more about the sport and be part of the action — no skating required!
